Emergency Room Nurse
Emergency room nurses have some of the most challenging and demanding of all other nursing careers. They care for patients in high stress situations such as trauma, severe injury and illness. The setting for ER nurses is noisy and busy, and quite distracting. ER nurses have to be quick and ready to treat patients at the drop of a hat. They also have to be calm in order to treat patients to the best of their ability. ER nurses also need to be able to communicate with their patients and the doctors in order to treat patients. Not every patient will survive their injuries and ER nurses need to be prepared to handle the losses, and know that they can't save every patient.

University of North Georgia at Dahlonega
The University of North Georgia is the college I will be attending in the fall. The campus is beautiful and it's in the top ten safest colleges in the united states because it's a military college. The nursing program that UNG offers is a BSN degree. It starts off with two years of liberal arts and sciences and then goes into two years of nursing courses. In order to get into the nursing program, you have to score a 90% or above on the HESI exam. I am very excited to attend UNG in the fall and work towards my goal of becoming a nurse!
